Joslin collaborates on award-winning diabetes Facebook game

HealthSeeker TM:  Simple Steps, Healthier Together wins MM&M Silver Award

If you haven’t done so already, check out HealthSeeker, a social media game on Facebook for people with diabetes that recently won the 2011 Medical Marketing and Media Silver Award.

This “game” engages, teaches and motivates people with diabetes, their families and those at risk to make positive, realistic lifestyle changes. It does so by providing a unique, online experience that combines helpful information on managing diabetes with the support from one’s Facebook friends.  The game involves MISSIONS and ACTION STEPS to help players achieve several LIFESTYLE GOALS.

HealthSeeker is also available in Spanish, called Explorando tu Salud.

HealthSeeker was developed by the Diabetes Hands Foundation in collaboration with Joslin Diabetes Center. Financial support was provided by Boehringer Ingelheim.

  1. It’s been a while since I have been playing that game. And, I am quite addicted towards playing it. I would like to appreciate the developers who did the hard work to develop such a great game.
