Diabetes doesn’t have to take the fun out of food. There are plenty of delicious recipes specially tailored to a diabetic’s dietary needs. Here are two recipes that we feel embody what winter comfort food should be: hearty, soothing, and maybe even a bit nostalgic.  (Videos courtesy of dLife TV.)

Mushroom Bisque Soup

Homemade soup is great for diabetics because it doesn’t contain the high carb thickeners and high sodium count that’s often found in ready made soups.

This turkey meatloaf recipe is low in carbs and high in flavor.
