Since having his son diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics has stepped up to support the Joslin Diabetes Center–the organization that provided critical diabetes care in his family’s time of need. This basketball season, Ray Allen is asking fans to make a $3 donation to Joslin’s High Hopes Fund each time he knocks down a basket from the 3-point line this season.
At the end of the season, Ray and his mother, Flora Allen-Hopson, will host a special VIP reception to thank the full-season supporters who donate $3 for each 3-point shot and be entered into raffles for prizes, including courtside seats.
So far this season, Ray Allen has sunk 11 three point shots, raising money for Joslin with each basket. This is turning out to be a great way to add excitement to the NBA season. You can cheer on the Celtics while knowing that each three-pointer that Ray Allen scores not only supports the team towards another win, but supports a great cause: finding a cure for diabetes.

I signed up and paid $10 but it was refunded to me. What happened?
All set. I was charged twice and the error was fixed. I was credited back the second $10.00. Thanks!
